Seal and Conceal

Seal and Conceal

As a college student I get the worst dark circles under my eyes, and after a weekend of eating like crap, maybe a blemish or two. Concealing these areas have always been a must for me because don't we all want to look like we got a good nights rest even if we didn't? I have a few holy grail concealers that I rotate through and some tips and tricks for how to keep your blemishes and dark circles sealed and concealed all day long.

For me, this step usually comes after foundation, but many people prefer to conceal first. My favorite concealer for covering blemishes is the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. This stuff is heavy duty and can cover up just about anything. I prefer to not use this for under my eyes because I find it a little too heavy and it settles in my fine lines and nobody wants that. Using a green concealer will also help reduce the redness appearance and make it easier for you to cover it up, any green concealer will work but I like the new Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid.

The reason I tried that concealer out is because I use the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer for my under eye area. I LOVE this concealer because it is so light weight, never creases and has amazing coverage. I've also heard a lot of people rave about the Make Up Forever HD concealer but I have yet to try that. If anyone has let me know how it worked for you and if it creases under your eyes!

My all time favorite drug store concealer is Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer. (Anyone else notice these excessive long names??) This concealer is a great multipurpose concealer and I use it daily! I would highly suggest trying it if you haven't already.

Finally, seal it all in there so that it stays in place. I do this on basically my whole face, and I also use this to bake. The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder is a gift from the makeup gods... or just Laura Mercier. Either way, this is a staple in my make up collection and I will repurchase it until the day I die. This powder is truly amazing, it makes you appear pore-less, locks your concealer and foundation in place so you don't crease and keeps you matte all day long. What more could a girl want? If you're in the market for a new setting powder try this one and I promise you will fall in love. BONUS: it doesn't cause the creepy white face flashback in pictures, which is a must for all my girls out there trying to not be tagged in Facebook photos where they have a face that looks like Casper the ghost.

Also if anyone has any recommendations for my next beauty post please leave a comment I would love to help out!
