My Thoughts On Plastic Surgery
So I'm sure many of you that know me, know I am all for plastic surgery. I mean clearly I've had a couple things done so I'm definitely not against it. I constantly hear people bashing others for getting plastic surgery or getting "too much work done" and I think it's absolutely ridiculous. So I just wanted to write a quick blog post on my thoughts and do a little rant on plastic surgery.
So here are my thoughts on plastic surgery: who the fuck cares. If someone wants to get plastic surrey done why do you care? It literally is not effecting you in any way shape or form and it's not your body. If you don't like it, why are you still looking? If someone is changing something about their body that they don't like and it makes them happy then why are you complaining? It's making them happy and feel more confident, so all I have to say to that is good for them. The next thing people always say is it's so extreme to have surgery to change your appearance. You know what else is extreme? You being a fucking bitch because someone is doing something that you don't like. Celebrities that you worship have had plastic surgery and I don't hear you criticizing them?
My next thought is, I hate when people criticize "bad plastic surgery". Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what's beautiful to one person may not be beautiful to someone else and thats okay. People get tattoos all the time and it doesn't always look great, but that's just my opinion and in reality the only opinion that matters is the person who is getting the tattoo. So I think that the same goes for plastic surgery. Someone is always going to criticize or judge but really the only opinion that matters is yours. If you want huge lips and huge implants the go for it, as long as you feel beautiful then nothing else matters.
I'm going to be honest, when I can afford it I plan on getting more work done. Obviously right now I have other things to pay for so it won't be for awhile, but one day I do want some other things done. I want to get Botox, lip fillers and other minor beauty treatments (no more surgeries for me). There are a couple things I want to add to that though. NEVER feel like you need to change something about yourself because society is telling you that you should look a certain way. Know inner beauty does matter, but I also believe that feeling confident in your outer beauty can really contribute to your happiness. If you feel beautiful with no make up and without having work done then that's great. If you feel beautiful having lip injections and wearing full face of make up, then that's great too. If you want butt implants, breast implants and a nose job and Botox then that's great too. Never let anyone shame you into making decisions that you aren't comfortable with. If there's something that you want that is going to make you more confident and happy then go for it. I'm not ashamed of anything I've had done or want to have done because that's what makes me happy. I'm not doing it for anyone else or because I feel like I have to, I do it because it's what I want to do.
My last thought I wanted to share with you guys is if you do decide to get plastic surgery, whether it be a minor procedure such as lip injections, Botox, Juvederm, chemical peels, or more invasive procedures such as a nose job, boob job, Brazilian butt lift or anything else, make sure to do your research. It's true that sometimes plastic surgery can be botched and go all wrong so follow some of these tips to make sure you don't have a bad experience. Look up the time line for getting the procedure done and the recovery time. Know costs before you go into things and most importantly, know who you are trusting with your body. Make sure you look up doctors and maybe even go to multiple consultations. Ask your friends who have had a procedure done (that you like the results of) who they see. Read reviews of the doctor online and always make sure that they are a board certified professional who specializes in what you want done (dermatology, ear nose and throat plastic surgeon, RN-aesthetician) and make sure that they know what they are doing. Don't be afraid to ask them questions because you want to be sure of what you are doing to your body before you do it. Ask them about side effects, recovery time, prices, ask to see before and after pictures and how much experience they have.
I hope you guys enjoyed my thoughts on plastic surgery. If you guys have any questions for me just shoot me a message! Hope you guys are having an amazing day and I love you all so much!
